After 15 long years, our paths crossed again.
We, the ‘once dreaming’ restless students of NID Ahmedabad, found ourselves laughing, hugging and reliving memories as if time had never moved forward.
The choice of place made it even more magical Pondicherry; with its colorful French quarters, charming cafés and the spiritual soul of Auroville’s Matrimandir. What better setting to reconnect with old friends than amidst art, culture, and serenity?
From the moment we met, the air was filled with laughter. Stories from our design school days poured out effortlessly the sleepless nights before juries, the long chai breaks, the silly fights, and the crazy creative sparks that bonded us forever.
Every conversation felt like stepping back into the corridors of NID, but with the wisdom of years gone by!
Pondicherry added its own unique charm to our reunion. We wandered through the French streets, sipping coffee and tasting croissants at quaint little cafés. Each café stop turned into another round of endless chatter, playful teasing, and those heartwarming silences that only true friendships can hold.
The visit to Auroville’s Matrimandir gave our reunion a soulful pause. Sitting quietly under the golden globe, surrounded by peace and nature, we realized how far we had come as individuals yet how deeply connected we remained as friends. It wasn’t just a reunion; it was healing for the heart and nourishment for the soul.
As we walked back through the streets of Pondicherry, a thought struck all of us years will pass, hair will turn grey, but the bond we share will only grow stronger.
